Mec Yeks eerste full album zit boordevol muzikale verrassingen: van pure a cappela over minimalistische interpretaties tot uitgebreide blazersecties. Een nieuw en ontroerend geluid, gestuwd door balkanbeats en passie. Op het festival Womad zeiden ze er het volgende over: ‘The fantastically groovy, cross-bred gypsy sound (…) Exactly the kind of mongrel sound that the isolationist politicos would hate.’
