Deborah – 1999

When Latcho Drom recorded “Deborah”, in 1999, the band had already issued three CDs. Deborah is a maturity record: Christophe Lartilleux digs into his typical heritage, opening up the traditional gipsy swing music to American song and jazz music (Chick Corea’s “Got a match”), let alone – of course – the French Musette repertoire (Jo Privat’s “Black Buterfly”, Christophe Lartilleux’s smashing hit song: “La Verdine”).
