His deep voice and a special feeling for words and music made FElix Leclerc one of the greatest poets to sing French-language songs. This 2CD anthology compiled by Olivier Julien brings together recordings made between 1957 and 1962, and the set completes the earlier box with the title “Felix Leclerc, Chansons Perdues 1950-1953” (FA5230). The French Canadian FElix Leclerc, one of the first great French-language songwriters, took Quebec into the firmament of song, opening the way for countless artists he inspired, from Brassens to Charlebois and Brel.
