North By Bothwest

Saxofonist Joe Manis mag dan niet zo bekend zijn, hij is er wel in geslaagd om George Colligan (Hammond orgel) en Kevin Congleton (drums) te strikken voor dit album. Op North By Northwest speelt hij een mix van eigen composities, standards en een cover van Pyramid Song van Radiohead. Manis speelde o.a. bij Thomas Mapfumo, The Temptations en het Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra. Colligan over Manis: he has a big tenor sound and an aggressive improvisational approach.
